The train station was purchased by the City of Westmount from the CPR in 1998. Westmount has redone the roof in slate. This view shows it boarded up, as it awaits repurposing.

Lecture about the Westmount Train Station

Thursday, March 09 2023

Westmount Station was once an important community location featuring some of the most storied trains of the continent. Although saved, it stands unused. How can it become a community-building location once again? The WHA and the Westmount Public Library are co-sponsoring an in-person lecture by David B. Hanna, PhD, a heritage expert and former professor of urban planning, which will address this question. The lecture takes place on 12 April at 7 pm in Victoria Hall.
